Chana’s heartbeat is music, where Gyil (northern xylophone) and Kologo (two-string lute) rhythms tell stories of unity, courage, and resilience. Abbi Ima channels this ancestral energy into a vibrant, modern sound that fuses highlife, Afrobeats, and traditional northern rhythms with a touch of funk and soul. Influenced by global icons Angélique Kidjo and Grace Jones, she delivers music that is both powerful and expressive, connecting deeply with audiences across cultures.

In 2021, she won the Non-Techiman Artiste of the Year, the Most Influential Music Performer, the Most-Toured Artist in the 3 Bono Regions, and the B/A Artist of the Year at the NKZ Music Awards. She was also nominated for the Emerging Woman category at the 3Music Awards 22 and was selected as the Next Rated Art in the Bono East Region.

She was also nominated for Ghana Music Awards-USA and Ghana Music Awards-France in the Discovery Artiste of the Year categories.

With standout collaborations with Fancy Gadam and Amerado gaining strong traction on streaming platforms, Abbi Ima continues to rise as one of the new voices shaping Ghana’s contemporary sound.
